Manyame RDC To Demolish 17 Streambank Houses In Murisa

The Manyame Rural District Council (RDC) is set to demolish about 17 houses in Murisa Phase 2 built on the banks of Duri stream to create a functional drainage system. The houses were affected by flash floods in January this year following the heavy rains, leaving families stranded and property destroyed. Private Schools Defy Lockdown

Two private schools in Bulawayo are reportedly conducting regular face to face lessons in contravention of COVID-19 regulations. Investigations by the Chronicle on Friday established that one of the schools that have been conducting lessons, Absorbent Minds Pre-School in Hillside suburb, is allegedly unregistered. Absorbent Minds caters for children aged from 13 months to five years. Govt Mulls New School Calendar

Following the indefinite postponement of the reopening of schools for the second term, a Cabinet Minister has said there is a need to realign the school calendar to suit the current situation.
