Deputy Minister of Youth, Sport, Art and Recreation Tinoda Machakarika, also known as Tinomudaishe Machakaire, has responded to media reports claiming he recently bought a Rolls Royce Phantom worth £330 000. Presidential Guard Soldier Shot By Detectives During Armed Robbery

A member of the Presidential Guard was recently shot by Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officers and fled with a bullet lodged in his rib cage after robbing a Chitungwiza service station of cash, a firearm, and other valuables. The soldier, Arnold Matetepa (38), was arrested last week as he sought medical treatment at a health centre in Harare and was brought to court on Saturday facing armed robbery charges.
