A 22-YEAR-OLD Bindura man who lured a six-year-old girl to his house through a footpath in a bid to rape her has been jailed.
Ndangariro Bhurasho was sentenced to 12 months in jail by magistrate Maria Msika for indecent assault after he removed the minor’s pair of trousers.
The magistrate conditionally suspended 4 months of the sentence.
Prosecutor Shiella Kudzai Maribha told the court that sometime in February Bhurasho met the girl in a bush where she was coming from the field.
He told her to follow him saying he wanted to show her a clear road.
The minor followed him and he led her to his house.
The convict persuaded the minor to enter his kitchen hut.
Upon entering Bhurasho removed the minor’s pair of trousers and she shouted for help.
He then told the girl to dress up and go home.
She went home and told people leading to the arrest of Bhurasho.
