Newly appointed Special Presidential Envoy and Ambassador at Large to the Americas and Europe, Ambassador Uebert Angel has shamed detractors who attempted to throw shade at his credentials, particularly his academic qualifications.
Following his executive appointment and swearing-in by President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Wednesday, the multi-millionaire charismatic preacher and businessman came under attack from some quarters on social media. Some Zimbabweans questioned the merits of his appointment and called into question his suitability.
In the aftermath of the social media brouhaha, iHarare reached out to the Special President Envoy and Ambassador at large and he obliged us. Our team visited Ambassador Angel’s residence in Harare. We almost missed him as he was departing for his rural home in Zaka. After exchanging a few pleasantries, he assigned us to his team who allowed us to check the veracity of all his documentation and Certificates from all the universities that he has attended.
While for privacy reasons we can’t publish pictures of his educational qualifications, we can confirm that according to the documentation we perused, the founder of the Spirit Embassy: Goodnews Church, formerly known legally as Uebert Mudzanire Snr holds three university degrees. He has an undergraduate degree in Business Finance from Salford University, UK and a Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Edinburgh (Napier). He also holds a Post Graduate in Education from the University of Bolton in the UK. We also put through calls to the Universities(which anyone can also do, as the Institutions contact details are a matter of public record on Google search) querying if they had any Uebert Mudzanire in their records to which the answers were affirmative and corresponding to the credentials.
According to senior government sources, President Emmerson Mnangagwa appointed Prophet Angel to the new posts because he believes that the preacher can leverage his international profile, vast business experience and connections to raise the country’s profile and bring investors to the country.
Following his appointment, Prophet Angel said that he would hit the ground running and relishes the challenge of his new calling. He revealed that he is already in talks with investors and that he is being assisted by his able wife, Prophetess Beverly Angel.
In addition to his business and religious ventures, Prophet Angel has been heavily involved in philanthropic works in the country. Following the Covid-19 induced national lockdown last year, Prophet Angel pledged a massive US$1 million to help vulnerable families which had been adversely affected by the lockdown restrictions.
True to his word, he used the Uebert Angel Foundation to donate mealie meal and groceries to thousands of vulnerable people all across Zimbabwe, in which his Foundation made over 122 trips to date
